Joe Perdreauville represented Goodfaith at the TENx10 Summit in October, held in Dallas, Texas. Goodfaith is a partner of the TENx10 collaborative which seeks to “make faith matter more to 10 million young people over the next 10 years in the spirit of John 10:10.” This scripture is a call for all of us to help young people know Jesus “so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”
It was great to meet with and collaborate among these 300 people representing various Christian denominations, congregations and organizations from across the United States. Ultimately, we all are seeking to transform the ministry landscape with the goal of engaging more youth in a relationship with Jesus and our communities.
A key theme that was repeated throughout was, “Relational discipleship radically focused on Jesus.” Relational ministry has been at the core of Goodfaith’s initiatives. As we look to continue and grow our relational ministries, we’re currently designing a six week cohort training for ministry leaders who want to develop a mentoring ministry within their youth ministry. At its heart, mentoring is relational ministry, and leads to relational discipleship of young people. Mentoring at the NeXt Level is being made possible by a grant from TENx10. We plan to launch our first cohort in March 2025.
